EcoSak eco-friendly bean bag chairs

eco-friendly bean bag chairs from colorado

We live in a community where sustainability is a way of life. We ride our bikes to work, we recycle our home and office waste, and we buy local as often as we can. At EcoSak, we understand that “Green” is more than just a word. We also understand that, while we are making efforts toward more sustainable products, producing furniture of any sort is not without an impact. That’s why we support our local Rocky Mountain Sustainable Living Association, whose mission is to educate people and communities in the Rocky Mountain region to make healthy sustainable choices. We are part of the GenGreen Network, along with many other like-minded business owners, and are proud to say we our business has acheived a Gold Level Certification with them. We also donate one percent of our income to environmental non-profits through 1% For The Planet, an organization started by Yvon Chouinard.

We are excited to bring you the EcoSak, a product that we feel good about. Very few furniture products are truly eco-friendly, and we don't intend to sell you a product based on a false premise. We are a conscious company that is looking for new ways to re-create old school furniture, and this is where we start. We use Organic Cotton fabrics and repurposed furniture-grade foam in our bean bag chairs. Repurposed foam, you ask? Well, furniture manufacturing creates a lot of waste…corners are cut from couch cushions, scraps are shaved from arms of chairs, and much of this ends up in the landfill. EcoSak filling is first-quality urethane foam that’s gotten a second chance as your favorite bean bag chair. We chunk up the scraps, vacuum pack it for shipping, and send you a huge bean bag lounger in very small (and mostly recyclable) packaging. We offer replacement covers and refill foam, so you don't need to throw away your bean bag when it gets stained or starts to pack down, or when you simply want to change colors.

Our crew at EcoSak thinks we’ve got something fun, funky, and comfortable here, and we think you’ll agree. Portable, eco-friendly furniture for adults and kids. We hope you like them as much as we do!

Tye Eyden, owner of Tye's Eye Photography

Tye has been shooting photos for over 16 years, and is an active member of the Fort Collins community. Tye does a ton of Colorado wedding photography, but he also specializes in commercial photography and adventure shots. The amount of time he spends in the backcountry and on the river lends to his unique ability to capture his subjects at just the right moment. He has a creative way of looking at things, and this results in a high quality product. We found it to be a pleasure working with him, and look forward to the next photo shoot!
